As the B.C. Wildlife Federation advances Version 3 of the “Wetlands of British Columbia” digital resource book, we are excited to announce an interactive outdoor activity: Plant Bingo. This is an exciting outdoor initiative where we invite you to explore your local wetlands and take photographs of the diverse plant species you encounter.

To get started, read our media release form for further instructions like what plants to look out for and how to submit photos.

For submissions to be accepted, the following rules must be adhered to:

1. Photographs of plants must include a general location (GPS point)

2. Scientific species name must be included, and any key identification features as described in the plant list (flowers, seeds, berries, seedhead, cone, sori)

3. Ensure your submitted photo(s) are of sufficient quality for species confirmation

4. Only photograph plants in their natural habitats; no gardens or cultivated areas.

5. By submitting photos for Plant Bingo, you consent to BCWF using these ID photos in other materials.

Why participate?

– Showcase your photography skills and love for nature

– Earn recognition for your work and the chance to see your photos featured in our digital resource book
